The newly formed Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) emerged from the unification of two leading craft and hobby industry associations: the Hobby Industry Association (HIA) and the Association of Crafts & Creative Industries (ACCI). CHA is a not-for-profit organization consisting of more than 6,000 member companies engaged in the manufacture, distribution and retail of craft and hobby products. Member companies represent all facets of the craft and hobby industry and include manufacturers, wholesalers, craft producers, buyers, and retailers of craft products and craft supplies. The Association offers a broad range of member services, including market research, education and consumer branding initiatives, as well as two annual international trade events that attract more than 25,000 industry professionals.

CHA's purpose is best summarized by its mission, "To stimulate the sales growth of the craft and hobby industry."
